Miss Cooke, who is part of the Met Opera program, was the 2007
winner of the Orchestra New England Soloist Prize at the Young Concert Artists competition.

FRIDAY, May 9, 2008 - Music for the Theater
Tonight's show features a new Violin Concerto by Mark Kuss, a professor of music at Southern Connecticut State University. Eric Pritchard is the violin soloist. Act Two presents Richard Strauss’s suite for Moliere’s comedy Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme. This concert is sponsored by SCSU, Dr. Cheryl Norton, president.
